-- The definitive resource for woody plants; has detailed information on over a thousand woody plants, many of which grow in northwestern Nevada.

-- Perhaps the best resource for shrubs and small trees, with black-and-white photos and comprehensive descriptions.

Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA), no date, "Landscaping in the Truckee Meadows," available at www.tmh20.com/conservation, 80 pp.
-- It has information on how to grow 95 different kinds of woody plants, including water use and preferred sites. This publication was once in hard copy, but now can only be accessed online.
